Do all farm animals look the same?

What are baby farm animals called?

Do all animals hatch from eggs?

What food do we get from farm animals?

What are farm animals homes called?

Welcome back troops! I hope that you've all had a wonderful break and are ready for your final term of Reception.

It is a rather exciting half term and we are learning about "life on the farm" which includes a School trip to a farm :D.  This is a great opportunity to see the farmyard animals that we are learning about and have a close look at their own habitat. We also have live eggs coming in, I wonder if they'll hatch into dinosaurs, crocodiles, geese, chicks! We'll soon find out. In P.E. we are working on the gymnastic apparatus and we will also being participating in a lot of dance.

Let's have a super half term!

Things to Remember

PE Day for Mr Johnson's class is Friday-please ensure children have their P.E kits in school. We may also have additional P.E sessions during the week so P.E kits need to be in school all week. We will send P.E kits home at the end of each half term and they need to be returned at the beginning of the following half term.

Snack money is 50p per week. Children can either bring it weekly (on a Monday) or half termly. We use the money to buy fresh fruit and vegetables which the children can have with their milk during classroom snack time each day. We also bake with the children on a regular basis and the snack money provided helps to buy the ingredients.

Book bags-please ensure that your child's book bag is in school everyday with their school reading book and reading record.

Water bottles-please ensure that your child has a named water bottle in school everyday.
