This half term's topic is "What would the Gruffalo find around our school?"
Hopefully the weather will be kind to us and we can spend some time outside looking at different plants and animals in our area.
We went on a visit to Rosliston Forestry Centre on Tuesday 24th April. We had great fun making sculptures and art out of natural materials, and finding where minibeasts were hiding.

Class Dojo is the new reward system that we are using at Longmoor. The teachers are able to give out points for a variety of good behaviours around school.
You should have received a code to allow you to see how many points your child has got and what they were for. If you have not got it yet, please let me know and I will arrange for another one to be sent to you.
You can access the website at www.classdojo.com or download the app on Android or Apple phones and tablets.
Our PE days will be Mondays and Thursdays. Please ensure that children have their indoor and outdoor PE kits in school on these days, and that they have any earrings removed. Thank you.

To give your children the best possible chance, please do play games with them - there are some useful websites below.
Follow the links below for games that allow children to sound out and read some real and alien (made up) words. Remember to click the back button to return to the Longmoor website.
