Jo Jackson's Visit to Longmoor.
On Wednesday 26th November Jo Jackson, Olympic swimmer visited our school.
Sports for Schools events are a fun, educational and inspiring way to raise funds for the school's PE equipment, and support athletes in general.
In fact many elite athletes were themselves inspired to take up their discipline by just such a visit from a top sportsperson, as a child.
Jo Jackson has represented Great Britain at the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, World and European Championships.
Jo ran a challenge in school. All of the children completed a fitness circuit, which would make up part of the training regime used by athletes to keep up their fitness levels.
The event was sponsored and Longmoor Primary School raised an amazing 3725.50.
Well done to everyone.
You never know perhaps one day we will have a past pupil representing our country.
