Hello and welcome to our Reception class page! We are looking forward to playing, teaching and learning with the children this year. We know we will have lots of fun! Reception have fun-filled topics planned, including their exploring their own family and home experiences, different celebrations, seasonal changes and much more! These will include lots of WOW experiences to enrich the learning.

Our Summer 1 topic has a focus on Spring and growth: 'How does your garden grow?'

We will be exploring this changing season, developing our knowledge of the natural world through planting and growing plants and vegetables. We will be learning about parts of a plant and why they need to grow before taking a walk by the local canal to observe signs of Spring! This opportunity will enable us to explore the past as we will visit the Lock cottage too.

Important dates: 

1st May- Wow day and parent event of planting and growing.

May Bank Holiday - Monday 4th May

13th May- Canal Walk.

Friday 22nd May - end of term
