Reception

Hello and welcome to our Reception class page! We are looking forward to playing, teaching and learning with the children this year. We know we will have lots of fun! Reception have fun-filled topics planned, including their exploring their own family and home experiences, different celebrations, seasonal changes and much more! These will include lots of WOW experiences to enrich the learning.

Our Autumn 1 topic has a focus on families : 'What is a family?'

After a period of settling in, we will be learning all about ourselves. Our families begin to draw on the children's own experiences to talk about the past and present.

We look forward to a term of curiosity, learning and fun! 

Important dates: 

Friday 4th September – INSET – School closed

Wednesday 23rd September – Meet the Teacher

Friday 23rd October -Last day of autumn term 1.

Monday 26th October–Friday 30th October Half Term

Monday 2nd November – School re-opens to the children

Friday 18th December - Last day of autumn 2 term. Break up for Christmas.
