Meet The Team

Welcome to Elizabeth I Class

Hi,  welcome to our class page, our seventh year together! We have been friends for many years and we thoroughly enjoy working together so we know this is a great combination. We're really looking forward to teaching in Year 5 again this year. We know that this year has been such a strange time but we are looking forward to welcoming you all back. We hope you are looking forward to starting Year 5 and we will help you feel settled and safe in your new class setting. It's going to be a packed year full of fun-filled, challenging lessons and activities!

Miss Smith

I have been at Longmoor for seventeen years now and I am thrilled to be teaching Year 5 again this year. I used to teach dance and still enjoy dancing every week and performing on stage. My two girls also love dancing and we often have our own little dance shows. Teaching dance inspired me to work with children.

Mrs Colley

This is my fourteenth year teaching at Longmoor Primary School. I have worked in all Year groups in Key Stage 2 and I am looking forward to teaching in Year 5 again this year! I enjoy spending time with my two little girls and I enjoy family days out.

P.E Kits

P.E kits should consist of black or grey leggings or tracksuit bottoms and a white T-shirt. Children should wear school jumpers as normal. Children should also wear normal school shoes and should have plimsolls or trainers to change into before the lesson. Footwear should be brought into school on the first day of each half term and left here so children have the correct kit for lessons.

Here is all the information for children who are learning at home. Below are a selection of activities that the children can complete. You can also send any work via Dojo or Seesaw.

Subject

Literacy Spelling Shed / Spellings Creative Homework - At least three pieces over the half term
Numeracy Mathletics TT Rockstars

Please read as often as possible. Read five times to an adult at home or school to move around our reading challenge and receive a prize!

Remember to record any work you have done at home on Seesaw. We love seeing all your topic work and creativity.

WHISPER - Anonymous Reporting Tool

Sometimes it is really hard to tell an adult if you feel like you are being bullied. That is why we have subscribed to WHISPER. It is an anonymous reporting tool which allows you or your child to report any incidents of bullying and cyber bullying in confidence.

Click on the web link below to fill in a report. It will then be emailed to Miss Hughes (Online Safety Coordinator). Messages are checked as often as possible. In order to resolve issues effectively and promptly, please include your name. This will be kept in the strictest of confidence.

If you have any concerns or worries about your child regarding online safety and would like further advice, please contact Miss Hughes or Mr Lyons, the school's online safety co-ordinators or speak to Mrs Dainty, Headteacher.
