Longmoor's Got Talent.

On Thursday 23rd July the finals of Longmoor's Got Talent were held. Miss Hurt and the School Council organised the talent show this year.

They encouraged everyone to audition in their classes and each class voted for the most popular act to go forward to the finals. Parents were invited as were 3 judges, Mr Dilks, Mrs Fitch (Chair of Governors) and Mr Allen, another of our Governors.

The afternoon was marvellous, with a huge range of acts. Everyone was impressed with just how much talent we have at our school. The judges gave excellent feedback and were astounded by the diversity and talent demonstrated.

It was a wonderful way to finish the school year and after much discussion and deliberation the three prize winners were chosen. They were announced at our final assemble on Friday morning.

In joint second place were 'The Strictly Six' our Year 1 group of ballroom dancers, who were brilliant and 'Alex' from Year 5 who sang a fabulous solo.

In first place by a unanimous vote was 'Maroon 3', our Year 6 boy group who blew us all away. They were so fantastic that they sang in our final assembly of the year.

Well done to everyone that organised the event, auditioned, took part in the final or who merely enjoyed the extravaganza.

It just highlights yet again what a wonderful school Longmoor is.
