The Queen's 90th Birthday Celebrations

The Queen's 90th Birthday Celebrations

On Friday 10th June the whole school celebrated the Queen's 90th birthday, with a whole school garden party. We all ate out lunch outside, dressed in red, white and blue. The school was festooned with bunting and we all felt in a celebratory mood.

Mrs Chambers (our cook) and her team, made up lunch bags, provided chips and ice creams for everyone. It was wonderful until.................. you've guessed it, the heavens opened. It was torrential rain for the entire afternoon!

We are British, so it didn't spoil the event. We rushed inside and had our ice creams in the classrooms.

The afternoon was all about writing to the Queen and finishing off her birthday cards.Hopefully she will write back to us!

Thank you to all of the staff and parents who supported the event. It was fun.
