Welcome to Seahorse class! This page will give you some key information about our class and show you some of the learning that takes place. You will also find useful links to help support your child at home.  

MEET THE TEAM

This is the Seahorse Team.  Mrs Mabbott works at the start of the week (Mon-Wed) and Mrs Hamer finishes off the week (Thur-Fri). 

We are supported by our fantastic Teaching Assistants Mrs Littlefair and

Miss Willmott, who work all week.

Home Learning - Phonics

Home Learning Phonics - Spring 1 Revsion of Set 1 Sounds
The weekly phonics are sent via Dojo each week.
The video below is an example of how we teach our phonics in school. Each lesson follows a similar pattern - focus on one sound each day and revise the other sounds. Phonics is taught 3 times per week. Do as much as you feel you child is able to. If you would like to exend their learning, please begin to blend the sounds to read simple cvc words. See the video above- 'Sound Blending.'

Remember to use our fantastic Reading and Mathematics resources. Log in using your child's log in and get going.

The log in is the same for both MathSeeds and Reading Eggs.

WHISPER - Anonymous Reporting Tool

 

Sometimes it is really hard to tell an adult if you feel like you are being bullied. That is why we have subscribed to WHISPER. It is an anonymous reporting tool which allows you or your child to report any incidents of bullying and cyber bullying in confidence.

 

Click on the web link below to fill in a report. It will then be emailed to Miss Hughes (Online Safety Coordinator). Messages are checked as often as possible. In order to resolve issues effectively and promptly, please include your name. This will be kept in the strictest of confidence.

 

If you have any concerns or worries about your child regarding online safety and would like further advice, please contact Miss Hughes or Mr Lyons, the school's online safety co-ordinators or speak to Mrs Dainty, Headteacher.
