Hello and welcome to Year 6! We have a very exciting and challenging year ahead, with lots of amazing things planned! With lots of hard work, determination and smiles, we will have a fun and successful year ahead of us!

My name is Miss Layland and I am a Year 6 teacher here at Longmoor Primary School. Mrs Turner also helps in T-Rex class. The children will be taught by Miss Hughes on a Thursday afternoon too! This is my second year teaching here and I am so excited to be teaching Year 6 as we have so many interesting topics to look forward to such as: WWII, the Vikings and the Mayans.

8th June- Children back to school. 

14th June- Friesland in school to talk to the children. 

17th June- Wilsthorpe in school to talk to the children. 

21st June- Long Eaton school in school to talk to the children. 

21st June- Assessment week.

23rd June- Level 1 Bikeability. 

25th June- Level 2 Bikeability. 

5th-9th July- Commando Joe week.

8th July- Sports day. 

19th July- Year 6 talent show. 

20th July- Year 6 slip and slide. 

21st July- Year 6 leavers disco. 

22nd July- last day of the school year.

WHISPER - Anonymous Reporting Tool

 

Sometimes it is really hard to tell an adult if you feel like you are being bullied. That is why we have subscribed to WHISPER. It is an anonymous reporting tool which allows you or your child to report any incidents of bullying and cyber bullying in confidence.

 

Click on the web link below to fill in a report. It will then be emailed to Miss Hughes (Online Safety Coordinator). Messages are checked as often as possible. In order to resolve issues effectively and promptly, please include your name. This will be kept in the strictest of confidence.

 

If you have any concerns or worries about your child regarding online safety and would like further advice, please contact Miss Hughes or Mr Lyons, the school's online safety co-ordinators or speak to Mrs Dainty, Headteacher.
