ZEUS (Mr Welbourne Y3)

Welcome to Mr Welbourne's Class Page for Year 3 Zeus Class

Zeus Class

Hello, welcome to Year 3's, Mr Welbourne's Zeus, class web page! I'm really looking forward to, once again, teaching in year 3 in my third year at Longmoor and guiding you through your first experience of being in key stage two! We have an exciting year ahead of us and I look forward to you sharing lots of learning and lots of smiles throughout your time in Year 3!

Summer 2 - Welcome Back for the last half term of the year!

I hope you all had a wonderful rest and relaxing half-term break, whether that was going on holiday, celebrating the Platinum Jubilee or doing other things. I can't believe we are now at the final half-term before the children go into year 4! I know all the children are going to have another fantastic final 7 weeks and looking forward to what we have coming up this half term!

This half term will, once again, be full of exciting learning opportunities. I hope you are all ready for our amazing topics this half term...I'm really looking forward to teaching them! Our new History topic will see the children learning all about Ancient Greece with our learning question 'Why were the Ancient Greeks ruled by their Gods?'. In our science lessons, we will be starting a brand new topic this half term in which we will be looking at our bodies including nutrition and diet with our focus question 'How can Mo Farah run for so long?'.

We will also be participating in lots of events and occasions like class photos, Commando Jo week and Sports Day!

WHISPER - Anonymous Reporting Tool

Sometimes it is really hard to tell an adult if you feel like you are being bullied. That is why we have subscribed to WHISPER. It is an anonymous reporting tool which allows you or your child to report any incidents of bullying and cyber bullying in confidence.

Click on the web link below to fill in a report. It will then be emailed to Miss Hughes (Online Safety Coordinator). Messages are checked as often as possible. In order to resolve issues effectively and promptly, please include your name. This will be kept in the strictest of confidence.

If you have any concerns or worries about your child regarding online safety and would like further advice, please contact Miss Hughes or Mr Lyons, the school's online safety co-ordinators or speak to Mrs Dainty, Headteacher.
