Zeus Class

Hello and welcome to Mr Welbourne's Zeus class web page! I'm really looking forward to, once again, teaching in year 3 in my fourth year at Longmoor and guiding you through your first experience of being in key stage two! We have an exciting year ahead of us and I look forward to you sharing lots of learning and lots of smiles throughout your time in Year 3!

Our PE days are Monday and Wednesday. Please ensure that children have their indoor and outdoor PE kits in school for these days, and that any earrings have been removed ready for their lessons. If earrings can't be removed, please ensure your child brings some plasters with them to place over their earrings for safety.

Homework will be given out on a Thursday and must be returned by Tuesday.

Spring 2!

Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful half-term break! I can't believe we are already half way through this academic year already!

This half term will, once again, be full of exciting learning opportunities. I hope you are all ready for our amazing topics this half term...I'm really looking forward to teaching them! Our new Geography topic will see the children learning all about the features of cities with our learning question 'Where Would You Choose To Build A City?'. In our science lessons, we will be continuing our new topic which will see us learning about rocks with our focus question 'What Do Rocks Tell Us About The Way The Earth Was Formed?'

We will also be participating in lots of events and occasions like World Book Day, Comic Relief and STEM Week where we will learn about Forces and Magnets! We will also have an exciting WOW day where we will build our own model city to showcase how much we have learnt!

WHISPER - Anonymous Reporting Tool

Sometimes it is really hard to tell an adult if you feel like you are being bullied. That is why we have subscribed to WHISPER. It is an anonymous reporting tool which allows you or your child to report any incidents of bullying and cyber bullying in confidence.

Click on the web link below to fill in a report. It will then be emailed to Miss Hughes (Online Safety Coordinator). Messages are checked as often as possible. In order to resolve issues effectively and promptly, please include your name. This will be kept in the strictest of confidence.

If you have any concerns or worries about your child regarding online safety and would like further advice, please contact Miss Hughes or Mr Lyons, the school's online safety co-ordinators or speak to Mrs Dainty, Headteacher.
