The Longmoor PTFA is in full swing with events lined up throughout the school year.  Last year we raised a fabulous £7,088.88 which could not have been achieved without the support of all children, parents and staff at school. This meant that in total we were able to spend a huge £7,457.11 funding numerous projects including the lovely new playgrounds markings.

All funds raised this year will be put towards supporting children in school. Projects that are already underway and being funded by the PTFA include a new modular stage for the hall, new equipment for the playground, a school merit shop and star pupil awards.

Events so far:

Smarties Challenge / Ladies Night / Christmas Disco / Quiz Night / Spring Disco / Summer Fayre

The Smarties challenge was the first planned event of the year.   Every child was given a tube of Smarties and the challenge was to return the tube to school with any 20 pence coins that might have been lying around. The children that returned tubes were then entered into a prize draw. The PFTA Ladies night was another huge success with a variety of stalls and treatments and the children had a fabulous time showing off their moves at both school discos. Special thanks go out to our 2 resident DJ’s and all staff. The annual quiz night was another fantastic evening and it was great to see so many teams taking part. So far the total raised from these events is in the region of a fantastic £6000 with another two big events still to run.

Summer Fayre - Saturday 8th July 2017

The weather didn't disappoint as we welcomed lots of visitors to our annual summer fayre. There was such a lovely atmosphere which was enhanced by performances from the Hope Gospel Community Choir, DRUMBA, Vibez Dance Works and our very own cheerleading group led by Miss Smith.

The raffle proved very popular - the first prize, which was a signed Forest shirt (worn by Forest number 11, Ben Osborn) was won by Lexie P (Y4). Lucky girl!

Thank you to everyone who came to support this event - it was the best won yet! The total profit raised was a staggering £3,095.02!! Wow! Barclays Bank have also kindly agreed to match-fund part of this amount too increasing the final total further! A huge thanks goes to all those who donated in some way either by making cakes for the cake stall, filling and donating a jar for Mrs Kirk's jar stall, donating books, toys, DVDs, teddies,  or bottles for Mrs Hooley's bottle tombola but also to those people who generously gave up their time to help set up the fayre or who manned a stall for the day. We couldn't do it without you! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
