  • Y6 Careers Fair

Fri 24 Mar 2017 Miss Hughes
Expertly organised by Mrs Dainty, the Y6 cohort experienced taking part in a careers fair afternoon. present at the fair, were a variety of further education suppliers as well as businesses and occupations represented by current employees. These included: the CO-OP, police, school health team, Specsavers and Chesterfield College. The children  loved talking to the different careers people but especially loved all the freebies that they were very kindly given. There was a real buzz in the hall as the children got to dress up in a variety of outfits that we would all associate with different careers - as you can see from the photos!

  • Erewash Tag Rugby Competition at Long Eaton School

Fri 17 Mar 2017 Mr Bunhejee

Mr Bunhejee took an eager team of Year 5 and 6’s to the tag rugby tournament at Long Eaton School on Thursday 16th March. Four teams attended as we played three very competitive games. In our first game we won 6:4 against Brooklands. Our second match was a 6:3 win against Shardlow and in the final game we lost 3:4 to Risley. The team played some excellent tag rugby and I was really proud of how well they coped with difficult conditions. Congratulations must go to Amelia, Jamie, Lily and Megan from year 6 and Kairell, Callum-Deo, Lawrence, Megan, Paige and Daniel from year 5. Thank you to Paige’s mum who braved the cold to come along and support the team and Mrs Dainty, Miss Hurt and Mr Slee for providing transport.Mr Bunhejee took an eager team of Year 5 and 6’s to the tag rugby tournament at Long Eaton School on Thursday 16th March.
