Alfred the Great Class

Meet the teachers!

Welcome to Mrs Hallam's Alfred the Great class page.

(Formerly known as Miss Wright) This is my fourth year as a teacher and I am thrilled to be teaching in Year 4 at Longmoor Primary School. I am really excited for the year we have ahead of us, with so many exciting topics to learn and experiences to share. I absolutely love teaching and believe that all children can achieve anything they dream of with lots of hard work, laughter, kindness and determination! My favourite subjects to teach are Art and Maths. I am so excited for our learning journey this year and we have so many interesting topics to study including the Romans, Sound and the Mayans! When I'm not in school, I like to spend time with my family and see my friends. I love going out for coffee and cake and my favourite place to be is by the sea – especially in Cornwall.  My favourite animals are pengins and my favourite food is pizza.

Our PE days are Monday and Thursday. Please ensure that children wear their indoor and outdoor PE kits all day in school for these days, and that any earrings have been removed ready for their lessons. If earrings can't be removed, please ensure your child brings some plasters with them to place over their earrings for safety.

I look forward to getting to know you all throughout the year.

Thank you

WHISPER - Anonymous Reporting Tool

Sometimes it is really hard to tell an adult if you feel like you are being bullied. That is why we have subscribed to WHISPER. It is an anonymous reporting tool which allows you or your child to report any incidents of bullying and cyber bullying in confidence.

Click on the web link below to fill in a report. It will then be emailed to Miss Hughes (Online Safety Coordinator). Messages are checked as often as possible. In order to resolve issues effectively and promptly, please include your name. This will be kept in the strictest of confidence.

If you have any concerns or worries about your child regarding online safety and would like further advice, please contact Miss Hughes or Mr Lyons, the school's online safety co-ordinators or speak to Mrs Dainty, Headteacher.
