THOR (Mr Welbourne Y5)

Welcome to Thor Class!

Meet The Team

Welcome to Year 5's, Mr Welbourne's 'Thor' Class, class web page. My name is Mr Welbourne and I am extremely looking forward to another year at Longmoor. I can't believe that this is now my fifth year here; time flies when you're having fun! I'm really excited about this year as we have some new fantastic topics lined up: The Vikings, The Tudors, The Industrial Revolution, What's So Special About America? and How is Climate Change Affecting the Arctic Region?  In Science, we will be learning about Reversible and Irreversible changes, Forces, Earth and Space, Living Things and Their Habitats and Rainforests.

We also get to try two new things for the very first time which is mini-police and swimming this year!

WHISPER - Anonymous Reporting Tool

Sometimes it is really hard to tell an adult if you feel like you are being bullied. That is why we have subscribed to WHISPER. It is an anonymous reporting tool which allows you or your child to report any incidents of bullying and cyber bullying in confidence.

Click on the web link below to fill in a report. It will then be emailed to Miss Hughes (Online Safety Coordinator). Messages are checked as often as possible. In order to resolve issues effectively and promptly, please include your name. This will be kept in the strictest of confidence.

If you have any concerns or worries about your child regarding online safety and would like further advice, please contact Miss Hughes or Mr Lyons, the school's online safety co-ordinators or speak to Mrs Dainty, Headteacher.
