ELIZABETH I (Miss Layland Y5)

Meet The Team

Welcome to Elizabeth I Class

Hello and welcome to Year 5! We have a very exciting and challenging year ahead, with lots of amazing things planned! With lots of hard work, determination and smiles, we will have a fun and successful year ahead of us!

My name is Miss Layland and I am a Year 5 teacher here at Longmoor Primary School. Mrs Hammond will also help in class every morning. The children will be taught by Miss Hughes on a Tuesday morning too! This is my fifth year teaching here and I am so excited to be teaching Year 5 for the first time, as we have so many interesting topics to look forward to such as: Vikings, USA and Earth and Space.

P.E Kits

P.E kits should consist of black or grey leggings or tracksuit bottoms and a white T-shirt. Children should wear school jumpers as normal. Children should also wear normal school shoes and should have plimsolls or trainers to change into before the lesson. Footwear should be brought into school on the first day of each half term and left here so children have the correct kit for lessons.

Here is all the information for children who are learning at home. Below are a selection of activities that the children can complete. You can also send any work via Dojo or Seesaw.

WHISPER - Anonymous Reporting Tool

Sometimes it is really hard to tell an adult if you feel like you are being bullied. That is why we have subscribed to WHISPER. It is an anonymous reporting tool which allows you or your child to report any incidents of bullying and cyber bullying in confidence.

Click on the web link below to fill in a report. It will then be emailed to Miss Hughes (Online Safety Coordinator). Messages are checked as often as possible. In order to resolve issues effectively and promptly, please include your name. This will be kept in the strictest of confidence.

If you have any concerns or worries about your child regarding online safety and would like further advice, please contact Miss Hughes or Mr Lyons, the school's online safety co-ordinators or speak to Mrs Dainty, Headteacher.
