U11 Mini Soccer County Finals In Chesterfield 3.12.19
Wed 04 Dec 2019What a fantastic effort by our Year 5/6 football team. We were not only representing Longmoor today, but the whole of Erewash in the U11 Mini Soccer County Final Event, finishing 3rd in the event!
We went on to win our group and also were undefeated. First we won 2-0 against Simmondley with goals from Harry and Theo, then had two 1-1 draws against Roe Farm Primary and Dronfield Primary with Kyedan and Harry scoring. Our last group game ended with a 3-1 win against Hilton thanks to goals from Harry, Kyedan and Theo scoring a penalty.
Our tournament ended in the semi-final after losing on penalties after drawing the game 1-1 against the eventual winners St Johns. Theo got the goal in that game.
I want to say well done to all the children involved (Jake, Christian, Leon, Jack, Kyedan, Dylan, Theo and Harry) you played some fantastic football and have done yourselves and the school proud! A big thank you to Harry's mum and dad, Jack's mum, Leon's dad, Dylan's dad and Kyedan's grandad for helping with travel and supporting the team.

Y5/6 Erewash 7 a side Finals 24.10.19
Thu 24 Oct 2019Fantastic effort by the Y5/6 7 a side team tonight in the Erewash Finals. Played 3 and won 3 against Hallam Fields 1:0 (Harry C), Scargill 1:0 (Theo) and Shardlow 2:1 (Theo x2) Therefore qualifying for the County Finals in Chesterfield! Well done Jake, Christian, Leon, Isaac, Kyedan, Dylan, Theo and Harry. A massive thank you to all the parents who transported the children on a parents evening, we couldn’t have done it without you and to Mr Welbourne who managed the team. Roll on the finals in December!
